Homemade White Chocolate Latte
White Chocolate Latte
Because I am sans a Keurig, I am an avid instant coffee drinker. It's quick and it's easy, but sometimes I find myself craving a little variety from my DIY coffee-from-home indulgences. You know, in exchange for my usual French vanilla creamer + three sugars. What can I say? Variety is the spice of life. Lately, I've been enjoying taking my morning cup of joe a step further with the aid of this latte recipe and it is quite delicious.
2 cups low fat milk (I use vanilla almond)
1 cup half and half
2/3 cup of white chocolate chips
2 tbsp instant coffee
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp almond extract
1. Heat milk, half and half, white chocolate chips, and instant coffee in a medium saucepan until the chocolate chips have melted.
2. Stir in the vanilla and the almond extract into the heated mixture.
3. Pour the finished product into your favorite coffee mug and top it with the whipped cream and extra chocolate chips if you so desire.
