Morning After Beauty Essentials With SweetSpot

This post is in collaboration with SweetSpot Labs.

Whether I find myself on a friend's couch after a night out or intend to wake up angelically and un-apologetically next to a lover the next morning, I like to have some beauty favorites or morning after essentials to add some elegance to that walk of shame (although it's often more shameless vs than shameful but I digress).

There's a natural comfort that comes with waking up in your own bed and walking into your own bathroom and having your cabinet of cleansers and toiletries. The extent of how essential your essentials are becomes increasingly more pronounced when you are suddenly without those things.Carrying a little travel pouch in my bag with me for just-in-case moments helps my "I woke up like this" morning after look a little more flawless.

Read on for a list of my on-the-go health and beauty favorite morning after essentials:

Noxzema Classic Clean Deep Cleansing Cream | I feel most awake when I'm able to properly cleanse my face. Noxzema is one of my favorite on-the-go beauty products because it's tried and true, it leaves my skin with that peppermint "clean" feeling, and after a groggy morning following a long night, it's the instant refresher I need to start my day off the right way.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15 | For my everyday skincare routine, after I'm done washing my face, I follow up with an essential oil, like almond oil or coconut oil. Unfortunately, the bottles that they come in are not nearly as on-the-go-friendly as I'd like them to be. For that reason, I love this product by Neutrogena. It moisturizes my skin without making it feel too greasy, enhances my morning after glow, and has SPF 15. Plus, plus, and plus.

Olive Oil | It isn't always a viable option to indulge my strands with the full extent of my nighttime hair routine, but I always like to carry an oil with me to seal in moisture for my hair. Sometimes, I'm able to flat twist my hair before bed after rewetting it and sealing it with oil and then rock a turban the next day rather fashionably; other times, I like to wake up, spritz my hair with some water, put some oil on my hands, tug my hair, and go.

SweetSpot On-the-Go Wipes* | Taking care of my business "down there" is always a priority. Although the vagina is self-cleansing, I like having a "shower" on-the-go with this SweetSpot product. I love the way Grapefruit Verbena smells, but they offer other scents like Vanilla Blossom and Neroli Mandarin. What I like about SweetSpot's On-the-Go Wipes is that it's a 98% natural product and that it's pH balanced to maintain my vagina's natural balance. With a feminine care product, that's music to my ears.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm | I have always loved the fullness of my lips and bringing attention to that with the use of lip balms is something that I love doing. It could be due to my complexion, but I love the subtlety of this lip balm that acts as a perfect two-in-one: a moisturizer and subtle tint to give my mouth a little more va-va-voom

e.l.f Eyelash Curler | Eyelashes are so important to achieving a radiant, awake look. I'm super minimal so working with my eyelashes to make sure my eyes are on point is the way to go when I wake up from a night of partying and am ready to reenter the world. So, I use this lash curler to help my struggle lashes. The eyelash curler is the perfect way to prep your lashes to fully absorb the mascara you intend to use as a follow-up.

e.l.f Clear Brow and Lash Mascara | It might be entirely too evident, but I'm not quite about that brow life just yet. However, I do find that there's a benefit to applying a little mascara before stepping out of there. For me at least. This goes hand-in-hand with the eyelash curler mentioned above. It takes two to do the eyelash tango.

Dove Advanced Care Deodorant | This should go without saying, but a swipe or two of deodorant goes a long way. I like this scent a lot in particular because cucumbers just have a really refreshing aroma to them and so that paired with my on-the-go wipes makes me feel so fresh and so clean clean, at least until I'm home with my shower arsenal again.

Tampons | Just. In. Case. I don't track my cycle, so keeping feminine care products like these on hand in my on-the-go bag makes life a hell of a lot easier. Of course, you should use whatever method you feel comfortable with, whether it be tampons, pads, menstrual cups, etc. We have so many options these days ladies!

Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes | When it's 3 am and you've spent too much money at the bar and closing out the night with hookah, you might not be in the mood to properly cleanse your face. At least, I'm not. These towelettes are soft and soothing and a great way to counteract my "I don't feel like washing my face" phase that happens to me once the clock strikes 12.
